New Balance Running Shoes Women’s WR1224

New Balance Women’s WR1224 Running Shoe

The next step up from the 1223, the 1224 provides more stability than any other line of New Balance running shoes. WR1224 Running Shoe is designed to provide maximum support and cushioning for the moderate to severe overpronator.

This choice from New Balance might be the perfect running shoe. Its incredibly lightweight construction features a blown rubber forefoot, Ortholite insert, and Abzorb technolongy for supreme comfort. Reflective panels keep you safe when running on night and early AM runs.

The New Balance WR1224 is a stability shoe. Stability shoes are for runners who mildly overpronate (feet turning inward) and need extra support through the heel, midsole and post areas. Stability shoes will help reduce overpronation, which causes excessive foot motion and increases your risk of injury.

New Balance Running Shoes Women’s WR1224 Features:

Super support if you need it, February 1, 2009
By M. EPTON (Montgomery, AL USA)

These shoes are great. One thing you may not know about New Balance is that the higher the number in the model number, the greater the support is. These are top of the line. If you have dealt with foot problems or injuries, you will certainly appreciate the support these offer.

Excellent Running Shoe, April 7, 2009
By T Jprs (Al United States)

I typically run 15 miles a week and have plantar fasciitis. I’ve been wearing the 1224 for over a month now, and have experienced no flare-ups. Compared to previous NB running shoes -I was wearing the NB 764s and have owned NB running shoes for over 10 years now…replacing every 9 months or so- this model is noticably lighter and fits really well. I would highly recommend.

Buy a FULL Size larger than normal, June 4, 2009
By B. May (Brooklyn, NY United States)

I’ve been a NB runner for years in this series- first 1221, then 1222. I skipped the 1223 and bought 1224 this year. Be wary on buying from the internet b/c the sizing on this shoe is different than previously. In both the 1221 and 1222, I was an 8. In this shoe, I’m a 9! I ordered the 8.5 and now I have to return it– even that’s too small. The toe box in particular seems a lot tighter than on previous shoes. So make sure to order the right size for you.
